There is too much to say about my time spent in Italy. Many lessons were learned and many insights gained. The type of experiences that would be a bore to ramble on about but are the type that will stick with me and mold the decisions that I make for the rest of my life. However, the one thing that I must share is how unthinkably, unimaginably, and profoundly amazing the people that are in my life truly are. To call the people I traveled with my co-wokers would be an insult. They are my best friends and my support system and without them I'd be less of a person. The same can be said a hundred fold of my mother. You rule mom!
Before I get all gushy and lose everyones interest, here are the best of the best from my time spent in Italy. Well, from the first day at least. There were so many images taken on this trip the only way I can think to properly organize them is by day. So here they are, day one:
Colosseum. |
Colosseum. |
Colosseum. The sun came out for about a minute. |

Roman Forum. |

She-wolf. |
Put a bird on it. |
Jewish ghetto. Great food. |
Campo de'Fiori. This is one plaza in Rome where public executions were carried out. This is the executioner. |
Pantheon. The greatness of this building is awe inspiring. It was so tall I was unable to capture the opening at the top with the lens I was using. |
Inside the Pantheon. The circle at the top is open and it was raining. Magic. |
Pantheon and pretty light. |
